MEMORANDUM
| TO: | Title I
Program Administrators |
| FROM: | Jamie Miller, Associate
Director Division of Compensatory Education |
| RE: | Neglected and Delinquent
Data Collection |
| DATE: | November 2005 |
The information contained in this
memorandum pertains only to districts that had a facility operated
for the care of neglected or delinquent children which received
Title I dollars in school year 2004-2005. The typical collection of data
that occurs over the summer months was delayed for neglected and
delinquent programs in order to accommodate a major overhaul in
the data requested for these programs by the U.S. Department of
Education. Attached
you will find the proposed federal collection. It is not
final and no data should be submitted at this time.
There are many new questions that may or may not have available data and will be classified as optional. However, please retain all 2004-2005 documentation in preparation for this report. We ask for your patience as we navigate this new request together. It is anticipated that a final electronic version will be available in January for a March submission. The attached information should be shared with appropriate institution staff as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at (317) 232-0540 or by e-mail at jmiller@doe.in.gov. Thank you.
