The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC)

In 2010, Indiana adopted the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Following the adoption of the CCSS, work began in several states to develop assessments related to the rigorous expectations of the new standards.  Indiana joined the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) consortium soon thereafter and has been working with other PARCC states to develop and deliver new assessments starting in 2014-2015.

PARCC Tools

The PARCC website will be updated to include the educator tools listed below as they are developed.

  • Prototypes will include assessment and classroom-based tasks

Model Instructional Units
  • Provide examples of classroom instructional units aligned to CCSS
  • Allow for further development and sharing across states of instructional units
