The 2012 IMSTEA Super Mileage Challenge Sponsered by Vincennes University

The objective of the competition is to provide Indiana high school students with a challenging and educational activity combining STEM content areas with practical experience in design, fabrication, and testing of a vehicle.

This project promotes the awarness of fuel economy by challenging students to build a one man, fuel-efficient vehicle powered by a single cylinder 4-stroke engine.  The vehicles run a specific course while teams track their fuel consumption. The vehicle with the most miles per gallon wins.  Other awards will be given for best integration of STEM, craftsmanship, design, sportsmanship, teamwork and more.

Team Meeting - 5:00 p.m.

April 30 - Lucus Oil Raceway Park

Gates open for team set up - 7:00 a.m.

First Heat  -  8:00 a.m.

Last Heat - 3:30 p.m.

Awards Presentation - 5:00 p.m.
