The Office of College and Career Readiness is responsible for standards, curriculum, and instruction for all subject areas, PK-12. Information is organized under two areas: Core Academic Subjects (including Early Childhood Education) and Career and Technical Subjects.

School-Level College and Career Readiness Reports

College and Career Readiness (CCR) Reports have been designed to help inform instructional decisions at secondary schools. High Schools have the opportunity to enhance and refine classroom instruction and curriculum programming based on the school-level data shared in these annual reports. Schools are encouraged to evaluate these reports district-wide in order to determine the highest quality options for their college-going students.

High School Assessment Alignment Studies

In 2012, the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) worked with Dr. Norman Webb to assess the alignment of the ACT and College Board suites of high school assessments. The ACT assessments of interest were EXPLORE®, PLAN®, and ACT®. The College Board assessments of interest were ReadiStep™, PSAT®, and SAT®. The results of these studies can be found below.

In 2012, IDOE also worked with Dr. Kristie Speirs Neumeister, Dr. Virginia Burney, and Dr. Joceyln Holden to study the qualitative aspects of the same suites of ACT and College Board assessments. This study also includes an analysis of ACCUPLACER® and Compass®. The results of this study can be found below.
