Assessment Guidance and Common Core Additions for 2011-12

The guidance documents below serve two purposes:

1. Assessment Guidance. The Indiana Academic Standards (IAS) have been analyzed to differentiate between the IAS that should be assessed on the ISTEP+ and the IAS that should only be assessed in the classroom.
2. The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) have been analyzed alongside the IAS to determine the most important CCSS for students to learn in the 2011-12 school year. These standards should be included in curriculum and classroom assessments in order to assist students in transitioning between the two sets of standards.
