Developed to help educators efficiently compare Indiana's Common Core Standards (INCC) and the Indiana Academic Standards (IAS), the Instructional Guidance documents may be used to refine current curriculum and develop new instructional resources. In all cases, it is imperative that the expectations of ISTEP+ assessments are attended to until the Common Core assessments are fully implemented in 2014-2015.

Instructional Transition Guidance Documents
The Instructional Transition Guidance documents summarize the relationship between Indiana's Common Core Standards and the Indiana Academic Standards (IAS) in English/language arts. They list all of INCC in grades 1-10 and the corresponding IAS indicators. This information is provided to assist teachers and administrators in reviewing and aligning existing curriculum for the transition to INCC.
Although there are commonalities between the two sets of standards, it is important to keep in mind that this document describes how INCC standards correspond to IAS indicators, and in no way guarantees that standards are equivalent expressions or that they represent absolute alignment.
