Module 2: Focus, Coherence and Rigor in Instruction

In this Professional Learning Module, we will examine Indiana’s Common Core (INCC) Instructional Shifts of Focus, Coherence and Rigor and how they impact instruction. The discussion questions will lead teachers through the PARCC Model Conent Frameworks for Mathematics as a tool to identify major emphases in each grade level, connections and fluency expectations. In addition, teachers will become familiar with INCC Instructional Shifts and discuss how to connect them to classroom instruction.
