Indicator 15 - Correction of Noncompliance

Indicator 15 is a Compliance Indicator.

Definition

General supervision system (including monitoring, complaints, hearings, etc.) identifies and corrects noncompliance as soon as possible but in no case later than one year from identification. (20 U.S.C. 1416 (a)(3)(B))

Measurement

Percent of noncompliance corrected within one year of identification:

a. # of findings of noncompliance.

b. # of corrections completed as soon as possible but in no case later than one year from identification.

Percent = [(b) ÷ (a)] x100.

The target for Indicator 15 is 100%.

Monitoring Timelines

• Data: Findings are verified for correction one year after they are issued. Uncorrected findings of noncompliance are recorded accordingly.
• Findings: Findings are not currently issued for Indicator 15 specifically; however, uncorrected findings from other Indicators and monitoring mechanisms affect Indicator 15 in Indiana's State Annual Performance Report (APR) and in Local Education Agency (LEA) Local Determinations.
