P-16 Plan for Improving Student Achievement. The P-16 Plan is
a comprehensive blueprint for aligning policies, resources, and
strategies across all sectors of Indiana’s education system:

This simple yet effective strategy engages local business professionals in communities
across the state to motivate more Hoosier students to complete the state's Core
40 curricula. The Indiana Core 40 Scholars Initiative is part of a state and
national effort designed to better prepare students for success in higher education
and the workforce through more rigorous academics in high school.

American Diploma Project
In 2001, Indiana was one of five states (along with Kentucky,
Massachusetts, Nevada, and Texas) selected to participate in the
American Diploma Project, a national initiative created to ensure
high school graduation standards and assessments across the nation
accurately reflect the knowledge and skills that colleges and
businesses really require of high school graduates.
