Since this is the final seminar of the year, there isn't an official assignment. Teachers are encouraged to practice strategies learned in the seminar and to keep an ongoing list of their own professional growth areas and the inquiries they want to remember as they begin their second year of teaching.

Sharing drafts of portfolio commentaries with peers and receiving feedback in light of the evaluation framework used for ELA portfolios

 

 

 

Share drafts and gain feedback using the ELA evaluation framework

Review portfolio handbook and discuss questions raised by teachers

Develop an individual timeline for completion of the portfolio

Continue to work on portfolio components and share drafts with colleagues, especially mentors, for feedback - use the evaluation framework to self and peer assess

Use the writing process to revise and finalize portfolio documents and commentaries

Review final documents and use the checklist in the handbook to prepare the final copy

Submit portfolio (according to guidelines in the handbook) to the IPSB by the deadline
