Core Battery Testing Information
If you completed a teacher preparation program after 1999, you must pass the PPST to earn an initial standard license.
As of September 1, 1999, a passing score on the PPST is required for licensing. A passing PPST score from any testing date is valid. If you have passed the PPST but not all of the Core Battery, you can use the PPST for licensing.
There is a waiver procedure for disability.
There is also a procedure for a person with a documented disability to have reasonable accommodations made at the time of registering to take the PPST, and for an exemption if the person's disability affected the testing despite reasonable accommodations. Click here for more information.
If you still do not pass after testing with special accommodations,
and have a degree and have completed a teacher preparation program, e-mail
the DPS Division of Assessment at dwilliam@doe.in.gov.
