In November 2000, the Indiana Professional Standards Board
(IPSB) approved:1) establishment of a new Standards Committee (SC) to
maintain state-of-the-art standards for all Indiana education professionals.
At its December 2000 meeting, the Executive Committee approved the proposed
charge, composition, terms of service, and processes for the new SC.
A "Call for Applications" was distributed, following the December Executive
Committee meeting and approximately 40 applications were received and
reviewed according to the approval process. A Selection Committee composed
of Joseph Weaver, Judith Briganti, Jane Boultinghouse, Judy Miller, and
Ray Graves reviewed the applications on February 2, 2001. Additional
applications are being sought to fill the Business/Community member opening.
Enclosed is a list of the recommended appointees for the SC. A matrix
summarizing recommended appointees applications is also included.
Selection Committee Recommendation:
The Selection Committee recommends appointment to the SC for: Judith
Creviston, Matthew Miller, Peggy Taylor, Lottie Waggoner, Nancy Zimmerman,
Marie Doyle, Jerry Garrett, Jeffrey Stephens, and William Wakefield.
