Reminders
We hope to mail out to Licensing Advisors and school corporations the Transition to Teaching applications in July.
When you have license corrections, they should send these to the attention of Nicole Reid, Operations Manager.
When recommending for license renewal of Rules 46-47 (and prior rules) licenses, please include the original of the license if it is valid; they need to include a copy of the license if it is expired. If this procedure is not followed, we will do a mailback to the Licensing Advisor.
Please remember that we have a form for you to complete when recommending a person for a 46-47 orig. license now, and the person took a PRAXIS test on June 10th. Keep in mind that for people in this situation, we must receive all application materials (except for the test score) with a postmark of June 30, 2006, or before. Any materials received with a postmark of July 1 or after WILL BE SENT BACK and the person will be subject to Rules 2002 licensing requirements.
If one of your students is seeking a test waiver for disability purposes, this request should be directed to our subdivision of Assessment, Continuing Education and Induction. The contact person will be Jessica Meadows at jmeadows@doe.in.gov.
