Project Description:

Algebra Concepts Expanded (ACE) program will focus on math instructional strategies including technology integration for grades 6-9.  Pre-K to grade 5 will receive training for hands-on instructional strategies, integration of technology and assessment development.

Project Timeline:

June 2007 to June 2010

Top 3 Project Goals:

1) Improved student knowledge in Algebra, 2) Completion of Standards Based Lesson designs in Math, and 3) Curriculum alignment grades K-9 in math

Partner Roles:

Michigan City Area Schools will coordinate the activities, provide staff, and gather and keep data for evaluation; Purdue University North Central will provide input into the coordination of activities, provide trainers, and gather and keep data for evaluation purposes.

Recent Partnership Success:

All partners met to finalize summer institute dates, order necessary supplies, and create invitation for teachers to participate.
