Child and Adult Care Food Program

After School Nutrition Guide Available Online

The Food Research and Action Center's (FRAC) New after school Guide: "Nourish Their Bodies, Feed Their Minds" is now available online. The resource guide provides after school and summer programs with detailed information on how to participate in the federal child nutrition programs, why and how to draw down federal funds for good nutrition in these programs, and how to add nutrition education to programming. The document is available for download: http://www.frac.org/Afterschool_Guide.pdf.

The section on adding nutrition education to programming should be of interest to all current after school hours and at-risk programs.
