Civil Rights Requirements

USDA requires that any program receiving federal financial assistance provide training to its staff on civil rights.  Civil Rights regulations are intended to assure that benefits of the Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) are made available to all eligible persons.  Training is required so that people involved in all levels of program administration understand civil rights related laws, regulations, procedures and directives.

Only the person responsible for training other staff on civil rights requirements needs to complete the on-line civil rights training.  The person who completes the on-line training can use the information from the module to train the other staff
