Wellness Policy Survey Results and Discussion (Session)

This session will provide the preliminary results from the school wellness policy study conducted in early 2007 by the Indiana Department of Education, Division of School and Community Nutrition Programs with the assistance of Indiana University researchers.  The purpose of the study was to gather information about the specific school wellness policy needs within each district, and create the feedback necessary to improve regional training efforts.  Information will also shared about how school districts may participate in the Indiana Wellness In Schools workshops being held throughout the state to assist school districts in implementing and evaluating their wellness policies.

HACCP Refresher (Round Table Topic)

This session will provide a brief overview about how to develop a school food safety program based on HACCP principles.  Participants will learn how to access various training tools, worksheets, and templates on-line to assist with development of the school food safety program.
