Summer Food Service Program for Children
Organizations wishing to become SFSPC sponsors must meet certain requirements. A potential sponsoring organization must be:
1. A public or private nonprofit school food authority; or
2. A public or private nonprofit college or university; or A public or private nonprofit college or university participating in the NYSP; or
3. A public or private nonprofit residential summer camp; or
4. A unit of local, county, municipal, state, or Federal government;
All private nonprofit sponsors must be tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. All sponsors must demonstrate the administrative and financial ability to manage a food service effectively at their sites.
