School, MSD Lawrence Township
The school has earned the
Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star, the
national symbol for superior energy efficiency and environmental
protection. School and commercial buildings that earn the
Energy Star use less energy than typical buildings and
release less pollution into the atmosphere. The school
has saved $28, 649 in energy bills in a two-year period
and has prevented greenhouse gas emissions of 255 metric
tons, equivalent to the electricity use of 34 homes for
an entire year. Lawrence Township Schools partnered with
Performance Services, Inc., an Indiana-based design company
that specializes in energy savings projects in K-12 schools. |
