Dropout Action Plan for the State of Indiana

As Indiana explores and develops strategies for how to best address the dropout issue, a task force has been created to focus on specific strategies which could help schools. Many Indiana schools already are doing the work and have found many successes in their strategies. If you are willing to share those successful strategies please send them directly to llupold@doe.in.gov. These will be included in the conversation and perhaps in the development of an action plan. Working together to strengthen efforts toward eliminating dropouts in Indiana is belongs to everyone. The action plan will be rolled out at the High School Summit in June of 2007.

On-Line Teaching and Learning

Recently the IDOE provided a round table conversation with area superintendents to answer questions regarding on-line teaching and learning. Many school districts are exploring how to incorporate, develop and offer on-line classes to their students. If you have a specific question regarding this topic please send the question to llupold@doe.in.gov. A response will be provided.
