Data Collection & Reporting Specialist
Salary Range: $38,000–$42,000
Duties
Employee works in the Center for Information Systems of the Department of Education under the guidance of Assistant Director of Data Collection & Reporting Center for Information Systems Director, or higher-level staff.
Representative Duties Include:
- Provide support for education data reporting (STN / Application Center);
- Develops or modifies moderately complex data collection requirements in the form of specifications used by field staff and/or systems development;
- Facilitates the delivery of technical business solutions and products to customers;
- Manages the expectations of customers, peers, vendors, and management solutions;
- May train, guide and advise other Reporting Specialists and Help Desk Specialist;
- Perform quality assurance audits on various data collections;
- Work with field staff on issues regarding timely and accurate data reporting;
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of the organization’s business systems and industry requirements;
- Advanced knowledge of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment;
- Basic knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge;
- Ability to lead, encourage and influence others to perform;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Ability to manage diverse human resources.
