Please be advised:

A letter was sent to Superintendents and Principals on 6/13/2007 regarding the School Calendar which can be found at: http://www.doe.state.in.us/stn/memo_calendar.html. Instructions for completing this form can be found at: http://www.doe.state.in.us/htmls/doecl.html. There is confusion over the Parent/Teacher Conference Days and we want to apologize for the confusion and set forth the facts.

When completing the 2007-2008 School Calendar (DOE-CL) do not enter Parent Teacher/Conference days at this time. Complete the calendar following the instructions. Complete the 2007-2008 Student Release for Program and Professional Development (DOE-SRPD) as instructed. After July 15th, the DOE-CL and the DOE-SRPD will be combined to provide you with the calculation of the amount of time available for professional development and parent/teacher conferences. In July you will be able to designate which days you intend to use and adjust the 2007-2008 School Calendar if necessary. The School Calendar will remain open throughout the year so that adjustments can be submitted.
