Are there provisions for "carry-over" of unspent funds from one grant year to the next over the 4-year grant cycle of funding?

Although IDOE has received permission to allow grantees to carry-over 100 percent of unused funds from year to year, the Department has decided not to allow it. (This situation is reviewed from year to year.) Grantees are encouraged to use a large majority of their funds in the award year and to contact IDOE grant administrators if there are significant problems which might prohibit substantial expenditure of available funds.
