What: Hearing to accept public comment on the proposed rule for A-F metrics (LSA #11-51)*

A-F Metrics

In November 2011, the State Board of Education approved proposed rule language that provides new metrics for calculating school improvement category designations, i.e. A-F categories.

These metrics will be used to assign category designations starting with the 2011-2012 academic year. The IDOE will be collecting public comment on these metrics between December 16, 2011 and January 20, 2012. A public hearing will also be held on January 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Department of Education Riley Room, 151 West Ohio Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. All public comments received will be reviewed and considered in the drafting of final rule language.

*Please bring a written or typed copy of your testimony.  The amount of time for individual testimony will be determined by the number of individuals wishing to testify.
