Priority/Focus Schools

Under Indiana’s NCLB Flexibility Waiver, Title I-served schools who receive a “D” or “F” school designation are considered to be federal school improvement. If a Title I-served school received a “D” in 2011-2012, that school will be classified as a Focus school in 2012-2013. If a Title I-served school received a “F” in 2011-2012, that school will be classified as a Priority school in 2012-2013. Beginning in the 2013-2014 school year, any school that received a “D” or “F” in both the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years will be classified as a Priority school.
