Have students, with eyes closed, listen
for far away sounds. Have them listen for closer sounds. What
far away sounds would they like to move closer? What sounds would
they like to move farther away?
Variations of listening:
Take your class on a field trip and listen to the sounds of a
pond.
Sounds for all seasons:
What are the sounds of summer? Of fall? Of winter? Of spring?
What changes would occur if the sounds of summer became the sounds
of winter? How about spring with fall?
