The NEW GQE tests Indiana's Academic Standards that were adopted in 2000. The new standards are grade and course level specific and are more rigorous than previous standards. Perhaps the biggest difference between the NEW GQE and the one given in the past is that it contains test items based on the content of Algebra I.
