PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES AND AWARDS:
"I hope that my efforts have made better people
living in a better place," says John Frischie,
who teaches agriculture mechanics and agribusiness
management at South Newton Junior-Senior High School
in Kentland. As curriculum committee chairman of the
Indiana Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association,
Mr. Frischie has played a key role in the development
of his states current agribusiness management
curriculum. He has also been instrumental in the implementation
of tech-prep and real-life learning in agriculture
education programs. By emphasizing the integration
of technology, as well as economics and business management
in agriculture education, Mr. Frischie has helped prepare
students for opportunities in emerging careers related
to agriculture. In response to the professional needs
of his own community, Mr. Frischie created the Agriculture,
Business and Industry Advisory Committee, a program
that relies on community input for students career
orientation and preparation. |
