2013 Team Nutrition Grant Offers Free Training and Sub-grants

School Foodservice Excellence Training (SFET) includes training on Smarter Lunchroom principles and applying for the HealthierUS School Challenge (HUSSC). Smarter Lunchroom practices involve using simple, actionable, low-cost steps designed to increase student selection of healthy meal options and decrease plate waste. Sub-grant opportunities are available to schools that implement the SFET training and apply for the HUSSC. To register for Smarter Lunchroom training, click here.

To learn more, please view our recorded webinar which took place on April 8, 2014. The application period for submitting 2013 TN sub-grants has been extended through the summer. A total of up to 30 schools will be selected to receive the sub-grants and qualified applicants that submit their applications prior to July 1 will be given priority. To obtain an application, click here. Completed applications may be scanned and emailed to Beth Foland at efoland@doe.in.gov.
