Indiana Business, Marketing, and Information Technology Professional Development Conference, November 14-15, 2008


The annual Indiana Business and Marketing Professional Development Conference will be held November 14-15 at the Adam's Mark Airport Hotel in Indianapolis. This Conference is a must attend for all Business, Marketing, and IT teachers including middle school, secondary, and postsecondary.

Theme

The theme of this year's conference is "Believing in Our Future. Building on Our Past." For business and marketing educators, we have a rich heritage to build on. Our future holds much promise if we are willing to change our instruction and assessment practices. Why not share with us what you are doing as it relates to "Believing in Our Future. Building on Our Past."

Call for Presenters

Currently we are requesting proposals for presenters for the 2008 conference. If you are interested in presenting on one of the following topics or have something unique that you would like to share, please fill out the speaker proposal form and return it to Barbara Beadle by May 15.

Conference Topics

  • Core Business such as Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, International Business, Business and Personal Law, etc.
  • Digital Communication Tools
  • Technology such as new techniques, software, ideas, what you are using in your classroom, etc.
  • Business Middle Level (looking for teachers to share best practices)
  • Marketing such as Advertising, Promotion, Selling, Branding, Market Share, etc.
  • Instruction and Assessment (looking for teachers to share best practices)
  • Career and Technical Education Business Technology Lab (best practices)
  • Internships, Co-Operative Education, and related topics
  • General Topics that may be of interest to a broad group of teachers
  • Business and Industry speakers such as entrepreneurs, technology, insurance, accounting, marketing, etc.
  • Other Topics of Interest

Exhibitors

If you are a vendor interested in exhibiting or if you know of a vendor who might be interested in exhibiting, please fill out the Exhibitor Application and Electrical forms. The conference attracts 400 to 500 business and marketing secondary and postsecondary teachers in Indiana. We prefer a variety of vendors in various businesses.
