Cooperative Education and Workbase Learning

This web page will provide specific information for Indiana schools and coordinators involved in cooperative education and internships. Information will be added as it becomes available. Updated 2006 versions of both manuals will be posted within the next three months. The updates will provide minor changes based on coordinator and business/industry input.

Interdisciplinary Cooperative Education Course Titles

Reminder: All cooperative education courses will be listed as one course with two components: the related class portion and the workbased learning portion. Be sure to check out the course titles below to get updated descriptions and course code numbers.

Cooperative Education Course Titles and Program Descriptions

Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP Code) Crosswalk

When reporting students in co-op programs to receive state CTE (vocational) funding on the Form 30A, the CIP code listed for each student should be based on the student's workbase learning site. The workbase learning site should match the student's career pathway interest. You may view the CIP Funding crosswalk on the web site. ICE programs may use any CIP listed on the crosswalk as long as it matches the student's career pathways. Specific co-op programs such as business, FACS, marketing, T & I, may only use CIP codes listed in their specific career cluster areas.
