9:00 a.m.	Opening General Session (1 PDU) “Indiana Legislature Supports New Technology” State Representative Sheila Klinker, House District 27 Member of the House Ways and Means Budget Committee tells us about initiatives Indiana is taking to attract and support technological development and the impact on Hoosiers.
10:15 a.m.	Second Session (1 PDU) “Cancer—New Thoughts on an Old Disease” Marietta L. Harrison, PhD, Professor and Director, Oncological Sciences Center, Purdue University. As we enter into the era of personalized medicine, cancer patients are benefiting from the ability to molecularly characterize their disease. New approaches and drugs will be described that target specific molecules in cancer cells.
11:30 a.m.	Lunch and Speaker (.5 PDU) “The Ellen Richard’s Trail” Joyce Miles, CFCS, invites us to follow her journey across the US as she portrays AAFCS founder, Ellen Swallow Richards.
11:30 a.m.	INAFCS Past Presidents' Meeting
1:00 p.m.	Third Session (1 PDU) "Going Green at Home" Indianapolis builder/remodeler Gary Vickory and Interior Designer Stephanie present the latest in “green” building materials and methods. Designer textiles, wall coverings, and appliances will be reviewed.
2:15 p.m.	Fourth Session (1 PDU) "Evolving Technology Demonstrations Purdue Student Unit INAFCS This informative presentation links you to the latest technology used by your students or your children. Included is YouTube in the Classroom, MySpace and Facebook, Text and Instant Messaging, iPods and iTunes, Distance Learning, and Video Conferencing and Private Webcams.
3:30-4:30 p.m.	Research Posters and Creative Abstracts Presenters Available in the Exhibit Area
5:30 p.m.	Centennial Celebration - Reception and Networking
6:30 p.m.	INAFCS Banquet, Gala Celebration and Awards Program (.5 PDU) Special Guest: Ellen Swallow Richards (Joyce Miles)

7:30 a.m.	INAFCS Breakfast sponsored by The Art Institute of Indianapolis FACS-A Blast from the Past (.5 PDU) Freddie Kramer, INAFCS Annual Business Meeting Silent Auction Results and Door Prizes
9:00 a.m.	Indiana AFCS Student Unit Meeting Ball State, Indiana State and Purdue Chapters conduct the fall kick-off meeting.
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon	INAFCS/INDFACS Post Conference Workshop, presented by INAFCS in collaboration with Indiana ACTE Foods That Heal - Cooking Quick, Nutritious, and Delicious Gourmet Meals Chefs Michael and Brigitta McGreal Learn how to incorporate gourmet healthy foods shown to reduce cancer rates and fight obesity into daily meal production. Use this exercise in healthy food preparation and healthful eating in your food and nutrition class or to improve your own health. These chefs have presented "Foods That Heal" cooking demonstrations for cancer survivors across the country. Find out how to take charge of your health, your life, and your future as you learn the principles of quick and healthy gourmet cooking

1:30 p.m.	Tour - IRT Building and the Indiana Repertory Theater - $20 fee (2 PDUs) A tour of the historic Indiana Theatre Building will not only show you the beautiful craftsmanship of the original structure, but will also give you a behind the scenes look at how the IRT gets plays from the scrip to the stage. Carpools from the Adam's Mark will be arranged.

This is our Gala Centennial Celebration so let's fill the space with research presentation displays at the Adams Mark Hotel. Our goal is to have great representation from Ball State University, Purdue University, Indiana State University and Indiana University as well as secondary FCS educators throughout the state. Hopefully some of you have done presentations this summer at professional meetings, or worked on your own research and are wanting and willing to share your endeavors to the membership.
