Round Two Group Four
Technology Plan Grant Application

The Indiana Department of Education will start accepting Round Two Technology Plan Grant applications from districts in Group Four immediately. Funds will be available for distribution as soon as the submitted application is approved. All Group Four Technology Plan Grant expenditures must be completed by June 30, 2008.

The Tech Plan Grant Program offers an opportunity to improve high school English/language arts teaching and learning through technology in Indiana schools. The objective of the program is to provide technology-rich high school English classrooms, while keeping costs at a minimum. The use of commodity-priced hardware and open source software plays a major role in this effort. Hardware specifications can be found at www.doe.in.gov/inaccess/inaccess_specs.html. The Technology Plan Grant application must include Capital Projects Fund expenditures in the year the district receives the Technology Plan Grant funds.

The Technology Plan Grant funding schedule allows:

• $25,000 for school corporations with an ADM of 250 or less or only one school building;
• $35,000 for school corporations with an ADM of more than 250 but less than 500, and;
• $50,000 for school corporations with an ADM of more than 500 with an additional $25 for each ADM exceeding 500.
