Ed Tech Competitive Grant Program

The Indiana Department of Education is pleased to announce the grant recipients of Ed Tech Competitive Grant Program. This program is a component of the federal No Child Left Behind Act, Title IID - Enhancing Education Through Technology Program.

The primary goal of the Ed Tech Program is to improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in schools. It is also designed to assist every student in crossing the digital divide by ensuring that every student is technologically literate, and to encourage the effective integration of technology through teacher training and curriculum development.

Listed by county, the grant awards total $4,225,809 statewide and will go to the following school corporations:

To be considered for application in the Ed Tech Program school corporation eligibility was determined through a technology need index which considered:

  • The number and percentage of students in poverty;
  • The percentage of students scoring below grade level in reading/language arts and mathematics on ISTEP+;
  • The number and percentage of K-12 students for whom English is a second language; and
  • The ratio of Assessed Valuation per student
