Technology Leadership Training for Math & Science Coordinators

 

Problem solving, data analysis, critical thinking and communication are important skills for development by all students. Technology tools assist students in accessing, retrieving, analyzing and communicating information and creating knowledge. Math and Science Coordinators are invited to join us in exploring ways to integrate computers and other technologies in the mathematics and science curriculum areas to better serve the learning needs of students at all grade levels.

  • This five-day leadership program incorporates:
  • Round table discussion of math science education issues National standards & Indiana proficiencies Curriculum models and strategies
  • Traditional and authentic assessment
  • Hands-on exploration of application software for curriculum integration Spreadsheet, database, draw/paint, word processing Desktop and Web publishing Multimedia project development
  • Discussion and exploration of math and science information resources Special science and math support software, tools and manipulatives CDROM/laserdisc reference products
  • The vast ocean of information known as the Internet and more!!!

Each participant selected for participation in this program attends a two-day workshop at the Buddy Teaching and Learning Center introducing the topics above followed by two independently scheduled workshop days to build personal technology use and integration skills. Each participant develops a technology integration project to share with all other participants at the Day 5 conference and celebration.
