Eight Steps to Highly Effective 'Next Generation' Professional Development for Learning and Technology

--Public Law 221 and Beyond

 

The "Eight Steps" Book and CD are designed to assist schools as they prepare their professional development programs to meet the requirements of P.L. 221.

This tool includes:

  • Definition of 'next generation' professional development
  • Description of the eight steps
  • Resources and links including to PL 221
  • Examples from Indiana schools
  • Suggested Action Steps
  • Utilization of technology in professional development strategies

Learn about the creation of the Eight Steps book and CD through the press release. Web-based activities are available with questions and resources to assist teams in further exploring the eight steps. The entire book and appendix are available to download or additional copies may be requested by Indiana schools from the Office of Learning Resources at 800-527-4930 or <nross@doe.in.gov>.
