Leadership Program
The School Library Media Specialists' Cadre, known as the SLMS Cadre, provides assistance to school library media specialists (SLMS) through professional development and related activities in their respective Indiana Education Service Center regions. A goal of the cadre is to have at least one cadre member from each of the nine Indiana Education Service Center regions.
The SLMS Cadre consists of building-level school library media specialists.These SLMS have been chosen for their exemplary leadership in school library media service and their expertise in one or more of four areas: readership development, grant writing, library automation, and information literacy.

Additional cadre members will be added as attrition and need occur.
