booklet is designed to serve as a handbook
for
persons interested in public school finance in
Indiana. Included are descriptions, appropriations,
and participation requirements for the various
state grants in effect for the 2007-2009 biennium.
Along with state monies, Indiana public schools
are supported by certain local revenues, the
primary
source being the property tax. A description
of property tax administration, as related
to public
school finance, is also presented.
