MEDIA ADVISORY Hoosier students help Indianapolis families in need

The Indiana Department of Education and the Indiana Family, Career and Community Leaders of America are teaming up with international hunger relief organization Feed The Children to provide 400 Indianapolis families with boxes of food and personal care items at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 6 at the Adams Mark Hotel (2544 Executive Drive).

More than 2,000 Hoosier students across Indiana organized several Feed The Children fundraising drives this year to provide each family with a 25-pound box of food and a box of personal care items. About 100 of the students who raised the relief funds will take part in distributing the packages to families on March 6. Students nationwide are organizing similar fundraising efforts to deliver food to impoverished families and to raise awareness about child hunger in America.
