Indiana Building Awareness for Science Education Symposium

 

Leaders from across Indiana will convene in Indianapolis on Friday to focus on innovative efforts aimed at positioning the state as a leader in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (or STEM) education and workforce development.

More than 125 scientists, engineers, business and community leaders, teachers, school administrators, representatives from higher education and elected officials will attend the Indiana Building Awareness for Science Education Symposium, sponsored by the Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana Governor’s Office, the Indiana Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (I-STEM) Resource Network and the National Science Resources Council (NSRC). Through hands-on demonstrations and panel discussions, participants will learn about changes taking place in Indiana schools that will help the state compete in a global economy.
