- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration,
CORRECTION, FMVSS No. 213, Child Restraint Systems
The National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration has published a CORRECTION to the Final Rule that
was published on March 9, 2004, that permanently allows the manufacturer
and sale of Safety Harnesses for use on school bus seats.
In the Final Rule to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No.
13, a small error appears in the Table for Section 5.3.2 That
table lists the "Means of Installation" for the various "Types
of Add-on Child Restraint Systems." It incorrectly showed
that "Belt-positioning Seats" could be installed with
a "Seat Back Mount."
