Award Selection Criteria

 

  • Practicing School Social Worker
  • Licensed by IPSB & HPB
  • MSW Degree
  • 2 or more years of work experience as a School Social Worker
  • Commendation letter from a Superintendent and/or School Administrator
  • Commitment to Social Work Practice that extends beyond the expected duties of the school social worker position
  • Membership in the Indiana School Social Work Association
    • Achievements in professional growth with activities such as:
    • contributions made to in-service training for teachers & other school personnel
    • active participation with the legislature
    • involvement with community affairs
    • contribution made to the literature of the field of School Social Work
    • contribution made to the education of professional social work students as a provider of School Social Work Field Supervision
  • Community Resource advocacy work on behalf of school clients to promote growth in services or to develop new services
