Indiana School Social Worker of the Year
Award Selection Criteria
- Practicing School Social Worker
- Licensed by IPSB & HPB
- MSW Degree
- 2 or more years of work experience as a School Social Worker
- Commendation
letter from a Superintendent and/or School Administrator
- Commitment to Social
Work Practice that extends beyond the expected duties of the school
social worker position
- Membership in the Indiana School Social Work Association
- Achievements in professional
growth with activities such as:
- contributions made to in-service training for
teachers & other school
personnel
- active participation with the legislature
- involvement with community affairs
- contribution made to the literature of the
field of School Social Work
- contribution made to the education of professional
social work students as a provider of School Social Work Field Supervision
- Community
Resource advocacy work on behalf of school clients to promote growth
in services or to develop new services
