Indiana school counselors teach a Guidance Curriculum that helps all students achieve academically, prepare for a career and college, and develop good citizenship skills. School counselors coordinate guidance in all Indiana schools as required by the Educational and Career Services component of 511 IAC 4-1 which corresponds with the Student Guidance component of the Indiana School Counseling Program Standards and the Guidance Curriculum component of the American School Counselor Association’s National Model.
