Attendance Workshops - 2007

These workshops are conducted by the Director, Office of Student Services/State Attendance Officer. Laws, rules and policies related to attendance, due process, legal settlement, child labor, school safety, school counseling, school social work, school health, school psychology and the Legal Standards for Student Services will be discussed. Reference materials will be furnished and also available online.

All superintendents, principals, vice/assistant principals, Deans, attendance officers and student services personnel including school counselors and school social workers are invited. Private school workers are also invited as well as probation officers, police officers and non profit agencies.

Verifying attendance is not necessary. Usually you will receive an invitation, but attend any workshop you want.

All workshops are 9 AM to noon local time.

September 14	South West Evansville The Regional Attendance Workshop will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon [EVANSVILLE TIME] on September 14th at the new Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center at 1901 Lynch Road. If you are going South on 41, turn left on Lynch Road and it is about 2 blocks on the right. If you are going South on 164 take the Lynch road exit to the right. Go about 3 miles and it is on the left. Park in front parking lot.
September 28	West Terre Haute Terre Haute South Vigo High School at 3737 South 7th. Take I70 west to Us41 exit. Go south a few blocks. Turn East at the Mall and go to 7th st.....you are there.

October 17	North Central South Bend Century Center The Century Center address is 120 South St. Joseph Street. (The Century Center is directly across the street from The South Bend Community School Corporation Education Center, 215 South St. Joseph Street.
October 26	North East/East Southwest Allen County Schools – Transportation Center 4814 Homestead Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46814 From I69 take exit 102 and head west on US 24. Turn right onto Liberty Mills Rd. At the four way stop – turn right onto Homestead Rd. Turn left onto Indian Meadows Dr. (past the SACS Administration Bldg.) The Transportation Center is the multi-colored building at the end of the drive. Please park in the west end of the Aboite Elementary School parking lot and enter the Transportation Bldg. thru exit #2. If people park in the fenced in lot where the buses park you will be asked to move your car. The transportation center is located on the same campus as Homestead High School.
