New Training Tool Available… In accordance with both state and federal laws (410 IAC 1-4, and 29 CFR 1910.1030), all individuals in the work place whose job responsibilities place them in a position where they could be exposed to the blood or body fluids of another individual must receive yearly training in Universal Precautions. This educational video instructional tool is designed to be used to satisfy this training requirement. Included in this program are each of the federally required points that must be covered in the training, all incorporated in an informative, but fun format! Supporting documents to allow for easy facilitation are included. Classroom Use Encouraged… The program has also been designed for teachers to use in their 5th through 12th grade classrooms to supplement lessons related to bloodborne pathogens, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), and Universal Precautions. Discussion points and questions related to the information included in each “chapter” of the video are available for use with students.
