How and Where are the Data Used?
The purpose of this data collection is to correct specific student information that was on the pre-printed bar code labels affixed to the ISTEP+ exams. ISTEP+ fulfills accountability requirements under both the federal No Child Left Behind Act and Indiana’s own Public Law 221. ISTEP+ data will be used to determine Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) under NCLB and performance category placements under PL 221.
