Q

I have an error message on the SR file that states “A membership record does not exist for STN ---------“.  However, the numbers in question have been accepted on other reports and if I go to the STN lookup, they all show up as valid numbers.  What can I do to get the STN system to accept these Student Numbers?

  A

This means that you did not submit a record in your ME file for each of the students listed.  We checked the last ME file that you transferred and they were not in it.  Please add them to you file or send a file with just the 3 students and then resend your SR Report.

I have one final SR record that will not “take” in the system for some reason.  I’ve submitted this file and it comes back without any errors, but the ME report still says that we are missing a STN file for this student.  (I double checked the SR summary Report and that student is not on there.)  I don’t know what else to try.

  A

The conflict is with the ME Report.  You have two records in that file that will not process because you and another school corporation are claiming the students.  The SR records will not be accepted until the ME issue is resolved.
