DOE-AT Conflicts

Conflicts for DOE-AT occur when data is submitted on a student (or STN number) that contains beginning and ending dates of attendance that overlap existing records. Each time data is transferred this match is performed.

Conflicts can occur throughout the collection as long as data is being transferred.  Your scoreboard will track each period that allows data to be transferred, the Collection period, the Cleanup period, and the Signoff period and will track any existing or created conflicts.  The Collection Signoff will not allow you to signoff on Attendance if conflicts exist.  Once you have signed off on Attendance, a conflict can be created by a school that has not signed off, and the status of your signoff will change.  It is important that you review the scoreboard for the collection status of the DOE-AT during each collection period.

To resolve conflicts:

Go to the Message Center under Conflict Resolution. Select the File Type Attendance.  If you login as a corp, only the schools with conflicts will be available on the drop down. If no schools are listed, there are no conflicts to resolve.

Review the data for the student (or STN number) in conflict on the Existing Conflict List.

All DOE-AT records currently submitted for a student (or STN Number) will be shown.

Click on the STN number of the conflict record to view Conflicting Records Detail.

Each corp and school involved in the conflict will be listed.  There is a 5 day maximum overlap allowed for students that transfer from school to school.

If the record(s) you submitted has incorrect data:

Submit a corrected DOE-AT file.  All attendance records you have submitted for that STN number must be submitted again.  At the time of this posting, you will not be able to edit detail records on the STN Lookup for attendance to change conflicts, it will require your file to be corrected and resubmitted.

If the record(s) you submitted should not have been submitted:

Click on the RED X on the detail page for that STN to remove the conflict.

Note: You can only delete the record(s) for your school if you are logged into the Application Center as a school user.  Corporation users or Admin users can delete records that belong to any school in their corporation.
