The NCHE web site provides numerous resources on homelessness and education for children and youth. Included are McKinney-Vento Legislation, a monthly feature of a model program, and a variety of other information and resources on homeless children and youth.
The NAEHCY web site is an excellent source for research, publications, legislative updates, and events that promote the enrollment, attendance, and academic success of homeless children and youth. NAEHCY promotes strategies for working with various agencies and developing strong programs.
ICADV works to raise awareness about domestic violence, to influence societal change, and to ensure access to comprehensive services through policy and the allocation of resources. The organization is a coalition of members that it works to educate and strengthen in order to accomplish its goals.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to solving the problems of homelessness and to preventing its continued growth. The Alliance web page contains information on programs, practices, legislation, and NAEH activities.
NPACH is a grassroots organization with a goal of educating both the public and policymakers on the causes and consequences of homelessness. Their goals also include creating and advocating for just public policy at the federal level and connecting local groups to the national homeless movement.
The National Coalition for the Homeless is a national organization dedicated to the eradication of homelessness through advocacy. The web site provides fact sheets, state and national contacts, legislative and policy alerts, scholarship information, and several other resources.
The National Health Care for the Homeless Council is a membership organization of health care providers working with homeless people across the United States. The Council exists to help bring about reform of the health care system to best serve the needs of people who are homeless. The National Council home page contains reports, policy papers, clinical information, two newsletters, links to health and homelessness sites, and a forum for members.
The Law Center's mission is to advocate effectively to protect the rights of homeless people and to implement solutions to end homelessness in America. To achieve its mission, the Law Center pursues three main strategies: impact litigation, policy advocacy, and public education. The Law Center's home page provides information on homlessness and describes current projects, publications, and activities.
