Welcome to the Gallery! 

Showcased are pictures created by seven budding artists, 1999 summer school  students from the South Bend Community Schools  -  from Washington High School, Navarre School, and Riley High School. 

The theme of the exhibit is IMPRESSIONS - 1999 Summer School.  All seven pictures are untitled but are  centered on a "sun" theme.  Four of them are varying versions of sunfaces, two are abstract representations of sun conflagrations.  The picture featured top left, by 7th grader, Maria Macias, Age 12, of Navarre School is unmistakably a sunrise, reminiscent perhaps of Vincent van Gogh.

Special mention and thank you to Mr. Jose Herre, 1999 summer school art teacher - for coordinating and submitting this wonderful collection to inaugurate this summer school site and Gallery.
